BUE-Tus Science and Innovation Park (SIP) continues to provide the required ecosystem that help businesses and startups thrive in today’s tough economy. The park provides a combination of high-quality office spaces, amenities and business-support services tailored to meet businesses’ needs and hence enable their growth and success. Office spaces are provided in affordable prices set to be within/below market prices to allow for tenants’ potential expansion.
The Science Park is affiliated by The British University in Egypt (BUE) and was inaugurated in December 2018 in collaboration with China’s TusPark Holdings; the largest single university science park in the world.
BUE has signed an agreement with TusPark Holdings in 2016 to establish the park as the first science and innovation park in Egypt to offer a world-class environment for businesses, academics and entrepreneurs to actively engage in innovation activities, share knowledge and create opportunities to drive entrepreneurship.
The Science Park focuses on bridging the gap between the University and businesses, promoting BUE’s research achievements and embracing all business enthusiasts under one roof to synergize, reinforce and boost each other.
The park is located inside El Shorouk City, only 20km from Cairo Airport and the New Capital City, and enjoys excellent communication links with nearby industrial cities including 10th of Ramadan, Badr, and El-Obour City.
The park currently hosts nine companies specializing in different fields including energy, legalities, banking services, IT solutions, business consulting, and business coaching.
In addition to its serviced office spaces, the Science Park includes “BUE Business Incubator”; an incubator that provides today’s entrepreneurs with strong functional business knowledge and understanding through tailored technical and business programs.
The incubator was established in collaboration with TusPark Holdings and USAID’s SEED project. The current incubation cycle includes seven startups, all benefiting from various workshops, mentorships, as well as a co-working space inside the incubator.
This is in addition to the fabrication lab that is available at the incubates’ disposal inside the park. The lab currently includes a Laser Cutter as well as a 3D-Printer ready to execute their prototypes and designs.
